The wind is your is friend, or your enemy. I have had to tell deer, “Hey” because they were going to walk right into me. Never have I used scent control.
Your scent isn’t on your clothes.
It emits from gases expelled from your body and bacteria laden skin cells that slough off your body by the millions. Best thing to do is start a fire and use smoke to help mask your scent.
Get some leaves and twigs a something green. Light them on fire and stand in the smoke… that’s how the Indians did it….
I’ve always seen my dad go out and regular clothes no camo no set blocker no nothing walking into the woods with a lit cigarette not only getting his dear every year but he would take pictures earlier in the year while he was scouting and he would show you the deer he was going to shoot before he would shoot it and he would always get it ….he always laughs at me every time he sees me put on camo and scent blocker he just says one day you’ll learn how to hunt and you’ll stop wasting your money on all that junk that doesn’t do anything I know I’m not even close to a skilled of a hunter as he is but one day I hope I can go in confident without anything and still get my dear I’m just not that confident yet
Keep the wind and thermals in your favor. Then you could have Bob Marley in your stand next to you stinking the place up and sending smoke signals and it wouldn’t matter. Buy stuff if you want but never think it’s necessary
