Two Ways to Eliminate Ground Scent | Bowhunting Whitetails w/ Bill Winke

I have been bowhunting for a long time, and I have probably seen more than a thousand deer cross my scent trail. After all this research I have concluded that there are only two ways you can completely eliminate the deer’s ability to smell your entry and exit route. You can beat some of the deer some of the time, but it is really hard to beat all the deer all the time. Here are two ways you can do that.

  1. I just built an ozone box with the biggest tote I could find at Walmart and attached an ozone machine to the side of the box with airtight hose running in, works like magic to eliminate scent molecules

  2. Would something like frogg to grain pants work in place of waders?

  3. Bill, have you ever used Elimitrax? i use them to put up/move my cameras and in-season stand moving. I have yet to have one negative interaction with deer when they have hit my scent trail. They are not very practical for cold weather hunting as they are not easy to put on and take off. Bobby Worthington says he has never had a deer pick up his trail.

  4. Thanks Bill,So ,SoTRUE!!

  5. Another really good video, very accurate about waders. Everyone laughs at me for deer hunting in lacrosse rubber hip boots, but it works. Also, great advice on the atv trails and road you use all the time to move around, activity in those areas does not seem to bug them. Appreciate the quality content.
